Fernando Careri

Fernando, most recently Managing Director at DNG Energy South Africa, a Pan African LNG Supply and Logistics company, has over 35 years executive experience in the Energy, Infrastructure and Environmental sectors. He has held chairman and directorship positions at a number of publicly listed companies and multinationals, and managed some of the largest rail infrastructure project in Victoria, Australia. Fernando has extensive experience implementing a wide range of capital projects across both the public and private sectors. He has delivered major projects in mining, rail and road infrastructure and in water and wastewater management. Fernando was the Director of Infrastructure Project Development for the Department of Infrastructure (VIC) reconfiguring the Project Management Office and development workflow processes for the Projects Development Group (circa $10 Billion public infrastructure projects).

Fernando has designed and implemented PMO’s for multinational project, resource and transport companies as well as designed and implemented corporate governance frameworks for publicly listed companies in Australia, Canada and South Africa.

Fernando was former Chairman – Genera Biosystems Limited (ASX:  GBS) and Founder and Chairman of Ecotech Group Pty Ltd (environmental and water infrastructure) now trading as the Water and Carbon Group.

Fernando has recently joined VMS to assist in Infrastructure governance and Project Management standards.
